Woodland
Savanna Conservancy is dedicated to long-term perservation of open land
in and around Porter County, Indiana. Our aim is to accept donations of
land or easements on Woodland/Savanna habitat, forested land, current
or former wetlands, farms for open spaces, historic indian lands, and/or
any land that can be restored to their natural states. Woodland Savanna
Conservancy provides a mechanism in our area where you, the landowner,
can secure your piece of the American Earth so that it remains intact
for generations.
Our Board of Directors includes local attorneys, biologists,
and business people who have experience with land preservation agencies.
We share the view that development should be complemented by open land
conservation.
We are not associated with local or state government.
We are a tax exempt charity with the goal of preserving significant land
of perpetuity.
Lands donated to the WSLC will be preserved for their
intrinsic value for future generations. These lands will be reserved for
the renewal of the spirit and mind through the preservation of natural
beauty and scientific value.
